Stock Units
Catalog > Definitions > Stock Unit screen is the basic configuration area where you determine the size or quantity type in which your products are sold.
The system comes standard with the "Quantity" unit, but depending on your business model, you may be selling products in different formats such as Dozen, Box, Meter, Kilogram or Gram. Thanks to this screen, you can make your site's stock management logic flexible.
Stock Unit Definition
When adding a new stock unit, you must fill in the following fields:
| Area | Description |
|---|---|
| Admin Name | Naming that only you and your team will see in the administration panel (Ex: Piece_10lu). |
| Web Name | The name that customers will see on the front when adding to the cart (Multi-language support, Ex: 'Piece' for TR, 'Piece' for EN). |
| Increase Amount | When you press the quantity buttons (+ / -) in the basket, it determines how many times the number will increase or decrease (For example, if you are selling boxes and there are 10 products in a box, you can set the increase amount as '10'). |
| Active | Allows you to turn the availability of this volume on or off. |
Customized Sales
Increase Amount is a life-saving feature for B2B (Wholesale) sales sites. This way, you can ensure that the customer adds products to the cart only on the floors you specify (e.g. 5, 10, 15).
